Setting up recurring bookings
Last updated About 2 months ago
If a client needs the same cleaning on a repeating schedule — weekly, biweekly, monthly — you don't need to create a new booking every time. Recurring bookings let you set the schedule once and Scrub handles the rest.
Creating a recurring booking
When creating a new booking, use the One Time / Recurring toggle at the top of the Schedule section. Selecting Recurring opens the repeat settings, where you can set:
Frequency — Weekly or Monthly
Interval — e.g. every 1 week, every 2 weeks
Which days it repeats on — specific weekdays (for weekly) or a day of the month (for monthly)
End date (optional) — leave blank for an ongoing series, or set a date to automatically stop the series
As you set these, a summary line updates to confirm the plan in plain language (e.g. "Repeats every 2 weeks on Tuesday, ending Dec 1").
Everything else on the booking — client, services, pricing, staff assignment — is set up the same way as a one-time booking, and applies across the whole series.
Editing a recurring booking
When you open an existing recurring booking to make a change, you'll be asked whether the edit should apply to:
This booking only — affects a single occurrence, without changing the rest of the series
The entire series — updates all upcoming occurrences at once
This applies to changes like rescheduling, reassigning staff, or updating pricing. A confirmation step will show you which fields will cascade to the whole series before you save.
Pausing, resuming, and ending a series
A recurring series can be paused (temporarily stops generating new bookings), resumed, or ended entirely (stops future bookings but keeps history for past occurrences). Look for these options wherever the series-level settings are managed on the booking.
